Definitely will. I'm sure you've reported it to Oncor, but if you haven't, I would. Took 7 hours and 11 minutes for us. I'm sure you're miserable...Be safe!

Lost power at 6am and got it back at 4pm. Temp in the house dropped to the mid 50s.

Fire up the generator.
An ice storm took out our power for 6 days a couple years back. Wish I had a generator that time, I do now that will run most everything in the house plus a couple space heaters.

Kinda points out just how vulnerable we are as a society doesn't it. Can't run down to wally world, run over to starbucks, etc. Wonder how all of our ancestors made back in the day before electricity and stuff like cell phones and the Internet...:)
BTW Banker-always....jc ain't gonna help you if your pipes freeze or you do....self-help...called preparedness will however. Living many years in Colorado I learned what to stock up on, how to wire my house for backup power, etc.
