So far, we've been lucky in Aubrey. No outages yet.

Haven’t lost power yet here, but I know a few very close to my place that have been out since yesterday. Then two transformers popped yesterday afternoon.

Maybe they feel sorry for our zip code.

Saturday morning I went to Home Depot and bought plastic sealing stuff and have sealed every window and the front and back doors. Even the fireplace. It is nice and comfortable in here.

It’s truly amazing to watch the fireplace try to “breath”. That must be the biggest loss of heat/ac known to man. [Linked Image]
That thing is constantly being sucked into the fireplace. We also have been keeping all the lights off and heat low. Trying to do our part to ease the load.

I just endured an hour long outage, it was starting to get a bit chilly in the house. Wife called power co, they said it wasn’t rolling blackouts but an actual outage, ok

Pretty close to same here. What I don’t understand is why someplaces and not others. Wife is texting coworkers and some have not had any does not really seem to make sense.

I'm guessing the outages are specific to each electric provider. Seems to be a consistent pattern with Coserve around Lew, HV, FM, Argyle.

Wish I had done that. The house is 46 years old with the original windows and doors. It holds temp okay, but still...
