Denny Hamlin going for a unprecedented 3rd win in a row. He starts 25th today.
My pick is Kevin Harvick.

Denny Hamlin is for sure a favorite to win even though I called for the banning and defunding of ALL Fed Ex drivers after what happened in Ft. Worth.
Harvick is my favorite and has a good shot. So does Lagano.
I dont love Nascar like I did. I do not know even know 3/4 of the drivers and 10 years ago I could name them all. It became not competitive. Same 4 guys win each week. Then they added a confusing and silly playoff and points system. The races are way too long and soooo many commercials. Its just not as fun as it used to be.
BUT, still have to tune in for a few races each year and this is one of them. Its Daytona! Gotta watch Dayton.

Watched an hour or so of the pre race talking head shows and you would think that Bubba Wallace and the “Michael Jordan team” are the odds on favorite to win every race this year and Wallace single handedly drug NASCAR into the modern era. I’ll pass on Wallace as a fan.

As long as it’s not that guy that does the gymnastics back flip when he wins, I’m good.

When those 3000 pound 4 wheelers couldn't how was a 80,000 lb, supposed to stop. Explain it to us mister know it all.
I would agree with you , but then we would both be WRONG !!!!!

I’ll pass on Wallace as a fan. I agree 100%. The broadcasters and NASCAR are trying to make an issue of something that is not an issue. If NASCAR keeps pushing this kind of political agenda, they are going to lose many more fans and go the same route that the NFL ,NBA and MLB did. Down the tubes! I do not watch sports nor pay attention to what any "professional" athlete says when pushing their political views. Oppression is not happening when you make millions. I do like "restrictor" plate racing for the big wrecks and short track racing for the beating and banging.

Based on a thread you missed. We were playing off the current "ban and cancel" culture and someone said we should boycott Fed Ex due the accident and I called for all Fed Ex drivers to be defunded and said we should start with Denny Hamlin. A joke. Nothing more bud. Nothing to do with anyone seriously being the cause of what was clearly just a tragic accident.

He was doing well and was young and just out of nowhere....He Left. Retired. Hung it up in his prime. I am sure there was a whole back story and some good reasons why, but I did not care enough to look into it. I did always like him though. Great driver, seemed like a nice dude, raced almost everyone clean.
