What ever happened to global warming, I could use some right now Global warming refers to changes in climate. Not necessarily independent weather events. Rather a trending of those over a period of time. But yeah this is pretty freaking cold I could go for some of that warming LOL I I remember correctly, global warming is no longer in use because they realized that the earth wasn’t warming, so they changed it to the broader, more generic, climate change because it covers extreme weather trends of any type.

I do remember the winter of 83, people were driving cars on Lake Worth. Fort Worth officials were pleading for people to stay off the lake. I was 16 and dumb. (Now 54 and dumb) I drove my car with 2 buddies out on the pond in front of 6 flags

I used to hunt an old farmers land who had a herd of cattle back then. To help him out I told him I would bust up the ice in his ponds so the cattle could drink. The ponds froze up so thick in 83 I had to throw a 25lb weight tied to a rope to break the ice, the 10lbs weight didn't even make a dent. I think we got into single digits that year as well.

Little coal would be nice about now i hate to agree but 100% If you would just agree more often you would do better. You struggle when you have independent thought.

We're getting calls from some of our large industrial customers who are being informed by their natural gas provider that they are shutting down the gas to their plants in order to meet the peak demand for homes for this this cold spell. I could see them doing this as well for the Schools. I've never seen this. Yes it has happened before think it was 82 record cold spell 30 days below freezing.
I got all day I’m retired
