What brand of rain gear are you guys using? I have a set of bass pro 100mph and it keeps the wind and rain out fine but I’m not impressed with it other than that. It’s really stiff, pockets are difficult to access, it’s not easy to get on and off, and good luck taking a leak while wearing it.

I like my Guidewear from Cabelas / Bass Pro. The Gore Tex works well for me. I have a suspicion Bass Pro will phase out the Guidewear line sooner than later.

Me too. Got the parka and bibs when they went on sale several years ago. Not insulated but works great with the wind and cold if you use layers.

I ended up buying the Simms Challenger stuff from bass pro. I couldn’t bring myself to spend over $1200 on rain gear. Thanks for the help.

I have the Challenger suit as well. You will be very pleased. Great suit, especially for Texas. Not so thick that you burn up in it. A couple of years ago when it rained a week straight I wore the Simms Challenger suit during the Bass Champs Championship on Texoma during torrential rain all day all 5 days. I stayed dry.
