Got up at 3:30 am and checked the hourly forecast for La Grange...High around 70 & winds 2-5 mph all day. Doc double checked the weather & found the same forecast...we were in sync ! That held up from 7:30 til 9:00 am when the wind started blowing 10-15 from the north & the temp dropped to 50. Wind chill in the 40s all day. Of course we only had some rain gear to cover the light clothes we had on, so we froze...but not enough to go home. Fished til 6 pm & ended up with 38 bass & 1 catfish. Doc caught the big bass of the day weighing in at 3 lb 10 oz. Most fish caught on Culprit worms & some on Gulp Alive minnows. The catfish was caught on a 3" Gulp Alive on drop shot. Can't wait for the Artic blast headed our way later in the week ! [Linked Image]

Great fishing guys. Love the pictures. woot Yes Sir Vogey if I had a dollar every time a weather man or lady missed a forecast I would be a very rich man today. You would figure with all of the satellites and technology they have they would be right on every forecast.

Side Note: Heading to fishing holes with raingear in hand. Yes I know it's late for some of you guys. Will be on the water by 10am. breakdance

Curtis...You do realize hat the HIGH temp tomorrow will be around 40 degrees !
Dan...I hear ya...Probably the week after next will be back on the water.
Chuck...When it is 105 degrees & I have the whole lake to myself I will be a happy camper.
Yesenia...I get up early to check the weather, pack the ice chest, make lunch & check last minute fishing reports. Its around a 2 hour drive one way & like to be there around daybreak.
Thanks Alan, Leo & Barry for the replies...

Temperatures do not bother me. What is hard to take is any combination of two weather conditions. Cold temperatures with rain, cold temperatures with wind, and wind and rain. I should also mention strong winds, and heavy rains. Under those conditions I am usually not fishing. The cold has not been that much of a factor on weather I fish or not. nuts

Side Note: I was able to fish both Wednesday and Friday ! Will post the results. woot

I still fish in some pretty tough conditions however they are few and very far between. I can remember years back fishing a trout stocking with my good friend Mike USMC-Guy. We were at the Canyon Trail Race and it was 17 degrees. Needless to say we were the only two there along with 1200 very hungry Rainbow Trout ! There have been several days this year that I have fished with temperatures in the low to mid twenties.
nuts
