I want to start throwing wacky rig on a spinning set up

Falcon Lowrider “shaky head” rod with a cheap Diawa spinning reel. Should be close to the $150 mark.

I recently purchased a 6’8” Medium Fast Daiwa Tatula spinning rod ($150) and paired it with a Fuego ($100) for finesse applications including wacky rigging a senko.
I’ve only fished it wacky rigged once and caught a LMB, but I really like the combo and hope to get out to use it more on some pressured areas when the weather clears up.
I assumed when you say “rod/reel or combo” that you mean your budget is 150 for either a rod or reel, but ideally a combo. I would recommend the Tatula spinning rod for sure and think it would be worth the wait to save a little longer for the Fuego.
I have no experience with them, but other rod options I’d look at are Shimano SLX and St Croix BassX both at $100.

For wacky rigging a senior, you go with a medium
Power or a med/hvy?
