weekend and where and what is the coldest you have ever fished? I am staying home to be nice and warm..

Had plans to fish Basschamps on TBend but wasn't looking forward to the drive home. Coldest I have fished was 16 in a tournament on Texoma and I won.

I’ve fished tourny that temp started in upper teens and got to upper 20’s for the high. I have never don’t that since and never will. That’s not fun.

I’ve fished in 20’s twice. Won both times fishing shallow. One was throwing a frog. Haha. I am not fishing this weekend though. As of now, the boat cover is frozen to the boat and looks like it would rip if I even tried to remove it.

Fished on New Year’s Day on Pat Mayse. When we passed the bank in Paris temp was 8 degrees. Why? So I can say I did it 50 years later.

I'm going fishing for trout in Arlington tomorrow afternoon. Will be the coldest temps for me.

Nope! Club tournament at Choke this weekend but I decided to sit out. Getting too old for catching colds and flu.

Haven't decided yet. Not excited at the prospect. Think I've been in a couple tournaments in the teens before. I don't care for it.

Prolly the lowest I’ve fished is 20 degrees while living in Tulsa. Feb tourneys always made a man out of us, or an idiot. I wasn’t old enough to know any better. We were invincible at age 25-30. Seen many a truck and trailer slide off into the frigid waters due to being so cold it would freeze the boat ramps pretty much immediately after someone would pull out. Thank goodness I’m not young anymore.

I fished canyon lake in a tournament many years ago, i wanna say it was january 2000. it was so friggin cold i kept having to chip ice from the eyes of my rod and checking my line for cuts.
incidentally that was when i decided to stop fishing in serious tournaments. i thought to myself "you actually PAID to be here and be this miserable!"

Supposes to be upper 40s down here Saturday. I MIGHT fish for a couple hours. Probably won't but I'm contemplating it before the really cold weather gets down here Monday. I can be fishing in 20 minutes so not much to lose.

I'll pass on fishing in the next week or so!

I'm pre-fishing all weekend and Monday

My joints hate extreme cold weather so I rarely go out. But 2 times it rewarded me (I was much younger), both DD's. On Fork 27 degrees and sleeting and on Joe Pool 25 with with heavy winds. Thank the Lord for the very back of Lynn Creek! Both fish were the only bite of the day.

Fished T-Bend in 30 degrees with a 20mph North wind in our face and a 30 minute run in snow, sleet and rain. Caught em in the back of a creek with a large flat on one side on a white crawfish trap.
I was in first place until the last guy weighed in and beat me by 4oz. We were the only two with a limit, and every tournament after that he ribbed me about it. He was about 40 years my senior, so I just had fun with it.
