Are there any lakes in that Hooville ranch where he hunts?

He specifically mentioned it was a public lake.

He also mentioned that they were in South Texas but I think that it has clearly been proven that it was Welsh. Hack also said he had never been to that part of Texas before. Now he may have never fished Welsh but he has obviously fished East Texas many times. Looks they were just trying to deflect pressure that show may have generated. Zona is usually not secretive about where he is filming.

That was nice of them to try to protect the identity of this little lake. To bad other didn't follow their lead.

If you've seen the ramp at Welsh, it isn't a secret to virtually anyone....

Welsh really isn't in "south texas" so it must have been another lake with grass in it.

Did he say “South Texas” during the show or during the promo? Because during the promo he said “nowhereville Texas”. Have any of you guys ever been to South Texas? We don’t have trees like that, we have some big Live Oaks; but most of the brush is short scrub brush.

I wish he would have shut his mouth when naming Choke too. This poor lake is being beaten to death and the fishing is NOT “ON FIRE”, like so many dingleberries are claiming.

Lol not Monticello, they never say south Texas in the promo video, and a quick search of satellite map on iPhone will tell you it’s welsh.

Even though I live in E. Tx I have never been to Lake Welsh.
Hack said South Texas - just curious if it could be Lake Bastrop? I know most of us wouldn’t refer that to South TX , but it is S. Of Waco. My Uncle used to fish Bastrop in the 80’s and catch bass like that in the grass on jigs.
What ever lake it is, there is Pine Trees around the Lake. Could be S.E Tx but not aware of a power plant lake that would fit the description.

It was toward the end of the show with him sitting on the bank. I think the remark had something to do with how hot it was. Can't remember exactly what he was talking about but during the talk he said “you can only take so much of that south Texas heat”.
