I recently got my hands on some lures I have been wanting to throw. That being the Mike Bucca bull gill and bull shad. They are 3.75" slow sinking. What times of year are they most effective?

Probably another 2 or 3 weeks when the big girls really start moving up, they both will work. During the spawn the gill would be my go to. Then again, they both will work post-spawn all the way until they move deep for the summer. Then in the fall the shad would be my choice.
"What are you trying to catch with that bait, a shark?"
