Shimano Curados are debatably the best reels out there, all things considered! I wanted to give myself a little challenge and see if I could convince some bass to bite on all my Curado set-ups. Had a blast!! The goal was 4 rods, 4 reel, 4 baits, and 4 fish. It was cool to see the progression of technology, size, and shape over the years of the curado production. In addition to the reels, i was curious if 4 different baits would get bites with the water in the 40s degree range!

Slow that jerkbait down in cold water. GIve it 10 seconds between twitches. That's where I've had the best luck.

So I definitely felt like I was working it too fast, it is a floating jerkbait, so in my head if the bait is not moving, then it is getting closer to the surface which is not where the fish were hitting. I need to get me a suspending style jerkbait and be more patient with it.

Any suggestions on a good jerkbait?
