Just finished uploading my latest video to YouTube which shows a lot of examples of forward shooting sonar in action. This all went down at a submerged bridge on Sam Rayburn on a recent guide trip. Bass catches, brush, structure, baits, etc. I must warn everybody your kids might become addicted to fishing with the new technology offshore which can end up being a detriment if you or their boat captains are shallow water bank beaters! I am leaving for Okeechobee later today for the first MLF Pro Tour event of the season and hope to use it down there. I have some creative ideas on new ways it might give me an advantage. Hopefully I can get some good footage to create the next video. If you enjoyed this one and want to see more, please like and "Subscribe" to my YouTube channel. I am trying to create new content that lays heavily on fishing technology.

I haven't watched yet, but I'm about to. Okeechobee was my home water for 20 years, so I know it, or at least knew it, quite well. Other than water level movements, it doesn't seem to change a lot over the current centuries, LOL. While I have a very positive outlook on the use of technology, I don't see live technology being a huge player on Okeechobee proper. So much of it is so shallow, and so much of the time the fish are "all about" that vegetation, I feel it wouldn't be as strong of a tool there. The fish will be in the lake (not in deep dredged canals), moving to their standard spawning haunts - in water that often won't threaten to get your waist wet, and lots of vegetation that will block what sonar can see. If they're in the open outside scattered reeds, I could see scout mode possibly helping to keep up with a roving school. I hope you have plenty of Gambler BB Crickets in the boat. Good Luck!

I may have a trick or two...
