The sand bass looks as if someone put an air hose in its mouth, pure fatness.

He caught this one on an earlier trip! To say the fish are fat and healthy this year is an understatement!

I prefished with Captain Josh from Southern Wind Guode service today. Fish were up north so we caught bait and started Deadsticking. We caught three on the first drift (I should say he since he caught them all). We then decided to check a few spots for bait fishing. Each spot we caught a few fish including this one which is the biggest i have caught in a while. The thumper was calling the fish in and a few were hungry. Right about 11 the wind died and the deadstick bite became real tough.

The fish that we are catching this year are amazing! There is so much bait everywhere so they are well fed!

I fished texoma yesterday, thumping and using tandem rigged Deadsticking flukes. I caught 2 but marked fish and bait... my Buddy Ed fished today thumping and slow rolling swim baits. He caught 7 with 3 over 20”... fishing is getting better and better! It’s not quite where it was before SNOVID, but we are still marking bait and catching a few fish which is a good sign!

Texoma has been interesting the past few days Ed has been alternating between thumping and throwing paddle tail swimbaits shallow on cloudy days and thumping and deadsticking on sunny days. Yesterday was a Sonny day and he and Aaron got on a nice school of overs Deadsticking... these fish liked the thumper and stuck underneath his boat enabling them to catch several nice ones!

Striper have been interesting. Huge schools of fish in most of the usual spots, but they are not always hungry. Each spot seems to be hit or miss, 40 fish one day 8 the next and another spot has 8 the first day and 40 the next. I fished Saturday with Jacob from Keepin it Reel Guide Service and we threw on some Captain Mack's A rigs to cover lots of water and find some hungry fish... We ended up catching several striper including 2 nice ones on A rigs!

Was finally able to put together a video of the trip! It's worth reviewing just to check out the amazing boat that he has! https://youtu.be/K8LQ0iptOQ4
