Well, I have taken a new job in Oklahoma. Moving up on The Grand Lake of the Cherokees. Going to miss Texas, in a bad way. This forum has been good to me. Learned a lot here. But, its a deal I could not pass up. Do any of you have any experience fishing GL? Or know of any good fishing forums up here? I will be back to Texas from time to time. I am a Texas boy at heart. fish

Grew up on that lake. Man, you are in for a treat!! So many great memories there.
I'm a lil jealous!! I never fished the lake but always had great times.

Friend noodled a 70 plus pound flathead there years ago, Might be some big ones in it now. I grew up close by, fishing will be good for most species. I miss all those lakes around there living in Lubbock.

I grew up in northeastern Oklahoma. Grand River below Pensacola dam is one of my all time fisheries. From about mile down from dam to Big Cabin creek. Love Texas, but it has no river that compares to grand.

Slab and jig combo is killer below Pensacola dam for sandies! Great place for crappie! Accidentally snagged my personal best paddlefish there! If you like to golf... decent 9 hole course below dam
