Worked in aircraft for many years - my glasses are welded on. Many don't know this, but you can get your prescription glasses in safety glasses too. I will also be praying for your wife's recovery.

Prayers for your wife as she recovers from surgery and learns to adapt to the loss of an eye. Please let her know that driving and other simple chores will get easier as her brain adjusts. Her depth perception will suffer but she will learn to compensate for it as my wife has.
