They are showing up river from steps. Water is real low. Saw a guy monday with about 14 on his stringer. He looked like he was using river minnows under a bobber.

Was gonna post and ask if the steps will have enough of a flow for a run and about when will it start? I got spring Break coming up starting March 15th, and was wanting a day trip there and possibly a slide over to the Pedernales if there is enough of a flow for a run.
Any info would be appreciated.
And of course at least one meal at Southside Market!

Yep plenty of flow for spawning. I was down there yesterday evening. I only had about 45m of daylight to fish so I didn't do any good but saw some pretty good stringers coming out of there. There were about 20 cars down there as well. Looks like they are just getting started. I normally don't go there anymore because of the crowds but a buddy of mine was there so went to meet up with him. All of the trash left behind by people down in the river bottom is really sad to see as well.
