I always look forward to their arrival. Typically 15 Feb here in Christoval. Sparrows will be served eviction notices from our Martin house prior by non-lethal means - or perhaps lethal if there are squatters. Had eight pair of martins last week before freeze..
Never heard of seen this before but they all froze to death.. Cats have cleaned up the aftermath..
Had no idea this could/would happen..
Now I better take houses back down and look for more bodies..

I had 5 die from the cold as well.
Couldn’t survive -3 degree weather.
