‘05 Skeeter, helm unit hanging up... system is full of fluid, bled, and rear seals are new. In between hang ups it’s silky smooth but can’t do a full turn without having to muscle through a hang up. It’s no doubt in the helm. I’m mechanically inclined but rebuilding a hydraulic pump is beyond my capabilities. Any of y’all know of places near DFW that might do this type of rebuild? They are proud of the new tilt models, but if that’s what it’s gotta be... that’s what it’s gotta be. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

google seastar rebuilders Tx. there used to be a co. in san antonio (I think) that did rebuilds of cyls. and helms. no idea if they are still around or not, been about 3 yrs. since I read about them. might call sartin marine or tommy at rockwall and see if there is someone in dfw.
