I’m planning to install Livescope and a new graph up front on my little center console. I’m currently running two UHD 93sv garmins on the console that I use for maps, down and side view. I have spotlock and want to put the Livescope on a fishing specialty’s pole similar to a pic TreeBass posted a while back on his boat.(very clean looking setup) I have never used Livescope just seen videos on it, so my question to y’all that have experience with it is would I see a big difference in clarity going with the ultra 106sv versus the UHD 93sv? We primarily Crappie fish with the kiddos. The Livescope looks like it could really cut down the search time looking for crappie. Thanks in advance.

Mine is on a 93sv. I had a guide tell me that he went from a 93 to a larger screen and wished he hadn’t. That’s the extent of what I know, but I see all I can use on the 93sv.

I have two boats with livescope. 93sv on one and 8410 on the other. I catch just as many fish with either, . Save your money.

I was looking at the difference in resolution between the 93 & 106 and thought the detail might be better on the 106 since it’s 1280x800 pixels versus 400x800 on the 93. Bass Pro has the 106 on sale for 1499.00.

Thanks for the complement, we are very happy with our setup and wouldn't change a thing.
I've never heard of someone regretting going larger in all the research I did before purchasing. I looked at the pixels as well when shopping and was told that with livescope, it would not matter that much?
I do not regret getting the 1022 for the bow, it works great for us, plus I can see everything the helm 1042 is looking at due to networking and vice versa. Makes it very nice

I asked Garmin tech support same question about resolution. Answer: When looking at Livescope, the increased resolution can hardly be noticed. For Livescope only use, he suggested the 1022 which is 1024X600 resolution. The 106 or 102 have a lot of enhancements which don't improve Livescope.

I went from a 10" GPS map to a 12" ultra! I like the brighter screen on the ultra over the GPS map unit. We had both a 10 and 12 on the bow at the same time. I wish I went with the 12" to begin with.

I second the comment about not regretting a bigger screen. The older I get the bigger the graph gets. I would definitely recommend the biggest screen you can afford. One thing about the GPSMAP vs the ECHOMAP Ultra. The GPSMAP will let you use the helm feature in Active Captain to record the screen directly on your phone while the ECHOMAP will not.

I fished with Todd "Slewfoot" last Friday. Its the first time I have seen a Livescope in action. My 62 year old eyes could see everything. And I don't wear glasses. Todd told me about him going to the bigger screen. It was a great pic.

If you started with a EchoMap on the smaller unit then you need to buy the Echomap for the bigger unit if you wish to connect the two units together, one on the console and one on the bow. The gspmap will not connect to the echomap.

I like my 93, on M360 the bigger the better but for me on LS I tend to extend depth and distance to "tighten" up my display
if that makes any sense
