With the 2020-2021 Texas Parks & Wildlife Rainbow Trout Stocking Season coming to a close this season has been GREAT in several ways. First of all the Covid- 19 Virus has put a lot of personal pressure on a lot of people. Getting out in the outdoors and catching a few trout helps the soul and can take some pressure off of a lot of people. Second you see a lot of anglers who you have met years ago on the "Trout Trail" and exchange some great fishing stories. Third. You also can catch some very good eating fish and have some great fish dinners during the winter months. Fourth. You can eat breakfast tacos on the side of a river or creek with your friends, waiting for sunrise to catch some hungry Rainbow Trout. Finally you can meet and become friends with other anglers. On a pervious stocking while waiting for the stocking truck I met Greg Visel from Uvalde TX. Greg retired from the banking business with 37 years. We talked about fishing and even knew other people who we were both friends with. The truck arrived and we were the only two anglers there fishing a very beautiful creek deep in the hart of the hill country. We started catching fish about 20 minutes after the stocking. We had "Non Stop Action" for a solid two hours. We kept 10 for the dinner table and released a bunch more. Gold Super Duper Lures and a Gold Rapala got great results. We left the fish biting for two other anglers who had arrived. We made the walk back to our vehicles and talked a lot more along the way. I have fished the Texas Parks & Wildlife Rainbow Trout Stockings a lot over the years and meeting and making some friend, on the "Trout Trail" is what makes it BEST for me. Fishing and making friends. It just don't get any better!

Really good times on the trout trail with the fish master. Trout, Sunfish, Carp, they're all fun when fishing with Chuck.

What size Super Duper and Rapala?

Side Note: What was your best and worst trout trip? As for catching fish?
