My wife and I could not of ask for not only a better guide, but a better person to fish with. A 2 person 50 fish limit in 4.5 hours. Numerous 1.5 pound crappie. Big crappie was 2.25. But we didn't hunt for big crappie. We wanted meat. Catching a nice crappie on a 10 or 11 foot rod is fun. But catching a 3.5 and a 4.5 and a beautiful 8 pound trashy bass is to much fun. I say this without any hesitation. Todd Froebe ( Slewfoot ) is just awsome. Fun, no pressure and not rushed. I don't have the words to express how much fun we had. Luckily I caught the big crappie. Because Vickie caught the 8 pound bass. If your wanting to catch fish Todd is your guy. But its just not about the catching with him. Its about him just being a good guy. Lots of fish and many laughs. I do have to add this. He told my wife probably 6 or 7 times she had a fish on. And she didn't know. It was spooky the way he just knew it. I had never fished with a live scope before. It blew me away.

Sounds like a heckuva trip ! My buddy and I have been thinking about Pines, probably wait until they lift the mandatory first 25 though.

Drycreek the first 25 didn't affect us at all. We only had 3 fish that were under 10 inches.

I had a blast with y’all 2! Glad you had a good time!!

PS: did you know Vickie caught an 8 pound bass??? roflmao

Them little 1/8oz jigs and number 6 hooks held on tight! Depending on weather I could do a Tuesday or Wednesday this week or next and I have Sunday the 21st open.

Thanks!

That is a hog of a bass. You sure that was only an 8?

Nice trip, what kind of boat are you fishing from. Don't think I have seen one so wide.

620 Ranger FS. I love it! Went from a 21’ bass boat to this and I could never go back to a bass boat. I can fish 4 people plus myself on the bow fairly comfortably if they stand and 2 easily plus myself seated. It looks huge on the trailer. Pulling it is the only downside. It’s tall and heavy but once it’s on the water it’s not that big and only drafts a little more than a bass boat.

Gborg its a Ranger 620FS . Vickie and I were on the front deck with Todd. Each of us a had a chair we could sit in. While Todd ran the trolling motor.

You picked a great weather day for sure! This weekend was brutal! Had an area they could catch fish out of the waves but not out of the wind! Took 2 1/8oz jig with a 1/4oz egg sinker between them to get our baits down in 14' of water! They finally threw in the towel after 3.5 hours with 25 in the cooler! They had fun and already planned another trip! Weather has been brutal to me this year. I cancelled or rescheduled more trips in January than I have the last couple years combined! hammer

I'm sure glad I'm not trying to make a living doing this! thumb
