You're either a Star Wars fan or you're a womp-rat.

The redhead and I recently got rid of cable (fios) tv service and have streaming services only. She wanted Disney+, which includes all the Star Wars movies & shows, including "The Mandalorian". I won't spoil anything just in case there's fans who haven't seen it yet. Will just say this:

How in the **** did Disney studios produce this magnificent show which is almost perfect "Star Wars", and also release the steaming Bantha poodoo that was "The Last Jedi"?

Great series, my son convinced me to watch and Iโ€™m glad he did. Looking forward to the next series about Boba Fett. Best thing Iโ€™ve seen on TV in a decade or more.

Mando has a producer and writer who are actual fans and it comes through in the show. I don't care for Star Wars but this show is entertaining.

It's ok. Not great, but better than most of the SW movies.

It reminds me a lot of 80s action shows, and several of the plots are just rehashes of those old shows that have been done a hundred times.

Watch The Magnificent Seven or The Three Amigos. The plot is the same - person or group helps oppressed townspeople team up to defeat bad guys. Then watch The Madalorian Season 1 Episode 4 and Season 2 Episode 1. They're the same plot. And you probably saw the same thing multiple times on The A Team, Knight Rider, The Incredible Hulk, MacGyver, Airwolf, etc. etc.

Hopefully it will get a little more unique going forward. It's worth watching, but don't expect anything more than an 80s TV show set in the SW universe.

I have never cared for, or even watched any of the Star Wars movies. But we binge watched The Mandalorian and i really enjoyed it. It was well done.

Jon Favreau is a good match for Star Wars. Hopefully we'll get a movie or two out of his team.

Oh certainly. The series reminds me greatly of Firefly - a space western. But then, the original Star Wars movie reused many basic plot ideas and simple themes.
