Just scroll to the end of the video - they're eating the worms that go through. Filmed this 20 years ago in the Umpqua River (still loaded with gold but the rascal politicians have tried to confiscate it again - up to the young folks to fight like we did). This is the bar today if interested in working it for gold (comments have up to date info on status issues from the residents):

If you did find that interesting, I do a whole series on YouTube on Where To Go To Find Gold with exact locations since I prospected (paid & for myself) for 20 years. Thanks guys - appreciate that. When we were working we would have hundreds of bass streaming off the back of our dredges. You could even pet some of them (the bigger ones would just float there like a statue).
