I only have used forward view , can't see a need for down view , My transducer is not on the trolling motor, I can look in any direction .

I did order a new bracket from fishing specialties that will allow me to use perspective view, I am looking forward to using that view
this spring , hoping to find some spawning fish.

good luck

Thanks Mo, I'm thinking its not worth it either since I can view from helm or bow by just turning the pole. Just wasn't sure if I'm missing out on something that could be helpful.

If I'm fishing by myself I use forward view with the transducer set to show straight ahead of my pontoon. If I'm fishing with a partner I use down view with the transducer set to show the sides of my pontoon.
