Fished Waco yesterday. Navigated to TPWDs "crappie condos" on north side of lake. Couldn't find a single one! Side scan, down scan, livescope.....no structures at any of the locations. Anyone have intel on whether they've just disintegrated over time or what?

Isn't much left of them. They were thin bamboo and most are gone and really hard to see on side imaging.

Thanks. That's too bad. I wonder if they'll consider putting new ones out? In assume tpwd is aware of this?

I wouldn’t be suprised if somebody didn’t hook them and move them. That’s seems to happen quite a bit on waco.

That's very disappointing to read. People who pull stuff like that are major-league lowlifes.

I can find "skeletal remains" of some. There are still tons of brush piles in Waco.

Thanks Beltonbanger. I'm new to crappie fishing, esp trying to locate them in the winter, and struggling. I'm able to find shad out the wazzu in 20-30 ft of water almost everywhere I go, though. It's like a solid mass of shad for miles in some places but not finding any crappie holding under them, even with my friend's livescope. I only have sidescan/downscan which is really challenging for me after experiencing livescope! Can't seem to find many brush piles or, when I do, no obvious crappie on them.
