Off topic a bit, but who has the time to watch these one hour podcasts? Glorified commercials for sponsors and networks. I chose to pass...
Back on topic, who cares and what does it really matter if Bassmaster or MLF fisherman are better than the other? It’s fishing, not war, global starvation, or any number of issues that really impact millions of people. Perspective gents. It really doesn’t to the majority. The OP is just hell bent on trying to convince people that MLF is pure evil. Most just like to watch fishing.

One thing I do know O is I’ve been involved in the inner workings of the industry far longer than most and all outdoor hunting and fishing shows BUY their airtime and then sell advertising to recoup their investment and make a profit. It doesn’t matter if there is a stage or not.

MLF pays the MLF’s majority owner for airtime on his networks, yes... that’s how those private equity investors work things.. own all the entities involved and suck the equity out.

AT&T owns Fox Sports SW and Direct TV, therefore the only place to watch Fox sports SW is if you subscribe to Direct.

AT&T owns Fox Sports SW and Direct TV, therefore the only place to watch Fox sports SW is if you subscribe to Direct. That’s not accurate. And with this deal, live coverage of the Bassmasters Classics and some select opens will actually be broadcast on regular Fox channels. Other times there will be live coverage and some repeats it’s on FS1.

Wait, don’t you rail against the owners of MLF being connected to the networks MLF is on and why that’s the reason it’s able to get 800 hours of coverage? Now you’re saying Fox didn’t reach out to MLF because it doesn’t have a stage, platform, etc.? Also, MLF had its TV contract already, so kind of hard to sign MLF when they’re already under contract with a rival network. Also, proof Fox Sports sought out BASS and not the other way around. Or, proof it wasn’t Fox seeking out BASS to compete with CBS, which had already signed MLF?
