Has anyone fished the Colorado in Columbus? Any luck?

I have not fished in that area but have seen it many of times. Always muddy water most of the time. eeks

I know people that do. When its running clean they catch lots of black bass, and some good guadlupe bass in the faster water.

Don’t know what you’re plans are and if it’s Columbus you are going to be situated at or if it’s just the Colorado you are trying to fish. I say that because like banker-always said above^^^^ the Colorado gets pretty dirty around Columbus. If it’s fishing the Colorado in general you are thinking about I would look about an hour NW of Columbus to Webberville. Places to access the Colorado and even places to put in Conoes, kayaks, jonboats....on the river. The water quality around Webberville is really good as the Colorado comes out of Longhorn dam after the chain of lakes through Austin area. Really good fishing around Webberville. Yes there are bass around Columbus but sorry, no updated report.
