Why was Kimball Bend closed today? Once we found a ramp we whacked them pretty good. 108 striper all caught on pearl fluke with chartreuse tail. Most of them were in the 15-17"range but we managed a few keepers for dinner. Quite a few sandies were in the mix, caught on the same thing and they all were carrying eggs. Some were shallow, most were in 12-19 fow. Anyone else go out today?

The water well is out for the park so the corp closed it until they could get it fixed. Since the host couldn't stay, they closed the park to prevent vandalism while noone was monitoring

Could you guys give me a quick schooling on where to start looking for striper in the river. I'm on Whitney literally once a week but haven't ventured north of lakeside... However we caught a good number of striper and a ton of whites mid lake Saturday, but I would like to try my hand at the river fish. Again not asking for spots but general rules of thumb on how to locate. If I were going out I would look for typical creek to river channel points and such to start my searching... an I on the right track?

Go to Navionics and zoom in on the river. Look for deep holes and start your fishing there.
