How about keeping a pit bull in the back of the truck? i like the pit bull vs vulture battle. My luck the dog would go crazy and do more damage fighting the vultures than the vultures themselves. smile

I also think you are required to remove intestines of them before you leave the lake area.

"Tilapia are a warm-water tropical species not native to Texas and are actually on the state’s prohibited species list. Therefore, there is no minimum size or bag limit for tilapia in Texas. However, this also means it is unlawful to transport or possess the fish alive, and the fish are required to be partially cleaned before leaving..."

They also need to have a commercial fishing license because most of these fish are ending up in taco carts in Houston and Austin. Agree with the rest of what you say, removing the tilapia isn't the problem, it's the bass they keep and the beds they destroy. My big irritant is losing 15 dollar crankbaits on their dang nets they leave hung on the bottom.

Watch Lonestar Law. 75% of the time the illegals are let go or ticketed for a simple minor violation where they "promise to appear". Many have no ID.

Having said that the tilapia need to go away which won't happen.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

Check out Guide Rick Denton's Facebook page. He posted a 20-30 minute video several months back about the cast netters. He is on the lake all year and has made some interesting observations.

simple solution to the buzzard and cormorant problem....allow fishermen/hunters to shoot them.....was hoping that if Trump got re-elected,he would get rid of the tree huggers/animal rights activists in our federal game and fish dept. and replace them with some common sense people....I also think our state fish and wildlife departments deserve blame for not raising hell with the federal people for allowing these obvious pests to be protected by a totally unnecessary law....

You an cast net as long as its a legal radius net and you can bow fish them, can't shoot any sort of firearm out of a boat, air bows, air rifles and spear guns are included with that.

People ought to be able to "control" any animal that is a pest. We ought to be controlling cormorants and anhingas, too. The swarms of them are unreal.

Birds ate the seal around my sun roof when I was in Everglades last year. Not sure if it was only buzzards because I saw crows on car as well.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.
