Anybody a fan? My Nana used to make it all the time and I was never interested in trying it until I was around 12 or so. Since then, I can’t get enough of it! I usually make a batch every couple weeks or so using my great great grandmas recipe. I’ve had others but her recipe is the best I’ve had by a long shot

My Grandmother made it every single morning with breakfast. She passed away before i was married but one of my aunts taught my wife to make it. She used to make it occasionally. Been several years since we have had it. It was a staple food growing up on biscuits. I am from the middle TN/North Bama area.

They obviously didn't have microwaves back in my great great gma's day so this one was modified for the microwave

In a 3 qt microwavable bowl-
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup flower
1/2 cup hershey coco powder
1/2 cup milk
Mix until smooth
then add 3 1/2 cups of milk and stir
drop 1 stick of butter in

cook in microwave for 8 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes or until it becomes gravy consistency
then add 1 tsp of vanilla once done

Thank me later!!

For me, the taste of coffee, toast with butter, eggs and bacon, and the taste of chocolate just do not jive.
