What are your feelings about certain members of the forum jacking up the price by three or four times what they pay for it,I have been to academy and waited in line a few times,and got what I was looking for most of the time,Academy unlike cheaper than dirt and some others are not marking their ammo up just limiting the amount purchased,it’s the same people every week camping at the front of the line and hoarding as much as they can buy for resale,I was in Iowa a couple of weeks ago and this was what was on the shelves,

Needless to say I brought a couple of hundred dollars worth back for family members,it just bugs me to see guys getting $70 for the box of .22 or $50 for a box of 9mm when I know what they are paying.

Yeah, that's pretty good. Won't pay anymore than that.

By definition it’s not price gouging.

Just don’t buy at inflated prices and leave those resellers with unsold inventory.

When things get back to somewhat normal, stock up at retail prices.

Free market. Supply in demand. Some people don't want to show up everyday, hoping Academy got ammo. Also, they want a specific brand. I have never say Winchester 9mm in stock. I saw Monarch/Blazer and other cheap brands that Academy sell. Norma?? It's not going to get better anytime soon.

I need to get to academy... Do they have box limits??

If you offer it and nobody wants it, put it back in the safe or reduce the price. Free market.

Our academy never has any ammo.

There are several "resellers" who are waiting at the door every morning to buy any and all that is put out.

It is their ammo....they can ask any price they want. You always have a choice to pay their price or not. They do not owe anyone a deal.

Is this kinda like the toilet paper deal ? You know damn well the hoarders ain't gonna do anything with it. As to the question of feeling about the mark up I believe in free market so it is what it is.

Their supplier could have gone up on price and pass the increased cost on to customer, not going to get any better
