I know this has been discussed before but I'm really interested in opinions and thinking on this. I'm 66 with breathing problems and I'm seriously considering taking the 1st shot while it's available.
A lot of people out here are reluctant to take the vaccine right away and are going to wait a while to see if bad effects from it start showing up.
Another subset of people out here are going to or have used with good success - Ivermectin, either the animal version or the FDA approved for humans pills which are now being prescribed off-label by a local doctor here as one part of their Covid Protocol.

I won't. I'm 34 though, and I don't trust something that the long term effects aren't known nor if it will cover all strains etc... I'll just continue to make sure I'm upping my vitamin D and Zinc since that seems to be the consensus from multiple doctors.

Yes, I've taken it and hope to be able to take my second dose by 2/2.
mRNA is new in vaccines, but it's been around in cancer treatments for about 30 years. I want my life back and if this gives me a chance to protect myself, my family, my clients, and my friends, then I'm doing it. I want this crud over with.

Wife and I have both had the Moderna shot 1. 2nd one in early Feb. If your lungs are compromised at all I would get the shots. My wife has mild asthma and the Covid put her in the hosp for a few days.

I will take it as soon as they allow me to and can get an appointment. Worried less about the vaccine than I am about COVID. I'm not worried about COVID.

I get my second on the 21st and I'm so ready for it. True,,, most recover. some with lingering issues , some not. I'm 65 with some health issues and my take on the the situation is a little skewed you could say. I work the rona unit and I see the the ones that get really sick and the ones that don't survive.. I would rather take my chances with the vaccine than than virus. Pay your money, take your chances. It's your choice.

Yes I will take it as soon as it's my turn.
I've had Covid and want to ensure I don't get it again.

haven't had the shot , will wait for any side effects to show up in the masses --- . I hope it doesn't have long term side effects to anyone . I posted before that I thought the Government will mandate COVID vaccines across the country . Lots of people replied " no way " government can't make us take a shot . While I agree with that previous statement --- let's be real clear . If you want to travel on a plane --- gonna need a shot and proof you got it . This will most likely be mandated be either the state your leaving or the state your arriving at ( the more liberal each State government , the more this will be true in certain States) . Want your kids to go to public school ---gonna need a vaccine permit . Wanna go back to " non-essential work activity" , gonna need a vaccine permit. Wanna go eat a nice dinner at your favorite restaurant , gonna need a vaccine permit . Get my drift ??? The more liberal the state , the more these " vaccine permits " will be required . LA County has already stated , kids will not be allowed back unless vaccinated . It wouldn't surprise me if some State government's try to add a " new tax " to employers if your employee's are not vaccinated . Enjoy the ride , it's gonna get real bumpy starting tomorrow .

I will get the vaccine when I get notified by Denton County. The Wife will not get it yet because she thinks teachers should have a crack at it before she does.

I started looking to see if any were available in my area. Several places were supposed to have it according to this website: https://tdem.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer /index.html?id=3700a84845c5470cb0dc3ddace5c376bThen I called a few places and NOPE, DON'T HAVE ANY. So I'm done with it. Maybe a few months down the road IF they have plenty.

Just got mine last week and will get the second in a few weeks. I would have gotten it sooner if I could have.
