Do y’all recommend carrying an extra prop? If so what would be a good backup for a Yamaha 250 SHO on a Nautic Star Hybrid 23’?

I don’t, but if I fished a stump hole I would. I do carry an extra hub insert (not the pressed rubber one, I have the plastic merc one). If I fished tournaments, I’d carry an extra prop.

same prop you have on it now would be my recommendation, spare hubs are a lot easier to store.

How to I find out what hub I have? Where would you recommend I buy the hub. What tools should I keep in the boat to install the new hub?

Most lakes I fish, I feel good about my trolling motor getting me back to the ramp or a tow if needed. So I don't have an extra. If I were down in the saltwater bays, I'd have one.
