I get an email this morning stating that Lil Moto's race motor will arrive via FedEx today and a signature is required. So I hold off on running errands all day so I can be here to sign. I walk outside to get something out of my truck, and there's the package right inside of my garage. Freakin bastages wasting my time. And leaving a $3000+ race motor with racing tape on it, right there is dumb. Does your FedEx driver know you? As in, does he deliver there on the reg? If so, he may have figured you were home, what with the open garage and all, and figured you would be around to find it soon.

That’s nothing new.
I was sponsored by JBL Mobile years ago and had two pallets of gear dropped at my house. 8-18” woofers, 40,000 watts worth of JBL/Crown amps, 6 sets of JBL GTi Anniversary components and a few odds and ends. Retail on this stuff was over $35,000. It wouldn’t fit on the front porch, so it was drop shipped to my sidewalk in front of my house. Three days early. Without a signature. I was in Colorado. I had a neighbor drive by my house and texted me pictures of all the “JBL boxes” on the sidewalk. I almost [censored] myself. I had to have a neighbor load it into their garage till I got back to Dallas.

I just cancelled my UPS account today because they couldn't keep other people from using my account number and billing their shipments to me. I've never given the number out and I have no idea who these people are. They're in cities where I don't know anyone.
The first time I called they said it happens all the time because someone mistypes the number, and they supposedly put a block on the account to keep third party apps from using the account number. Didn't stop it so after 3 months in a row of having to fight bills that weren't mine, I just told them to take a hike.

I was pleasantly surprised today, I had a key piece of fairly expensive equipment break Thursday night. I ordered online and of course it was a third party shipper deal which usually ends up being a mess and slow in my experience. Trucking company rolled up with it this morning. It made me smile.
