Most memorable thing I remember about Key West was a guy sitting on a curb charging people to take a picture of his dog laying down on the street with a live cat on its back with two live mice on the cat's back. Peace among mortal enemies.

Heading to Key West. Any recommendations on things to see or places to eat. From everything I have read, they say not to rent a car, walk or rent a scooter. If your wife/girlfriend/significant other has a special occasion to celebrate you can take the ferry to one of the most romantic restaurants on the planet. It stings the wallet but the scene isn't something you're likely to see elsewhere and they make a terrific Old Fashioned. Time it right so you're dining as the sun is setting and you're sure to get her primed and ready to roll for later. Lattitudes at Sunset Key

Go to the little white house at the end of Duval with the menu posted out front. You'll know it when you see it. Southernmost Beach Cafe? Nope.... Look for a wrapped SUV with some nice scenery.

Peace among mortal enemies. I remember driving home around 4 a.m. one night and seeing two, not one, but two different guys in a three block stretch, fall off their bikes and make no effort to brace their falls... hands still on handle bars when they hit the pavement. Good times!

As much as I've loitered out front, I've actually never been inside.

How is the fishing this time of year? Tough if you get caught by a cold front.

Lattitudes at Sunset KeyThanks! 25th anniversary coming up in a year and half and that just might be the spot. We went to Key Largo when we got engaged. These cottages are perfect. https://www.sunsetkeycottages.com/cottages/amenities/May have to limit the stay to just a few days though..
What a maroon!

lanman,
Just an FYI..... You don't have to stay on Sunset Key to eat at Latitudes. Just get a reservation WAY in advance so you know you're set as the evenings book up quickly.
It's tiki torches on the beach and man is it something to see. I've never been accused of being romantic but it's a cool vibe for sure.
