Bass Cat Lynx or Caracal, 100hrs on my Merc 4S and hasn't missed a beat btw; if you could find a year or two old Phoenix 20/21ft with a 4S that would be worth a lookee as well

I watched long enough for him to claim the HPDI was a good motor. Everything that man says is questionable from there on.

I watched long enough for him to claim the HPDI was a good motor. Everything that man says is questionable from there on. He reviews boats he has never seen or been in as well. Not sure how that works. I tried watching a few of their videos and they were pretty random.

Seems like to me in the brief window I watched he gauges it off how many people buy the motor. Well that's the review we wanted. More people buy brand x so it's better. Quality stuff I should start a youtube page reviewing sports cars and go by the number of each I see on my commute.

That guy is a complete @ss hat and has been kicked off a few forums cause of the cr@p he spews. As for problems with the new mercs about the only was some bad shifter solenoids very early one. Problem has since been fixed.

I'm an old school guy myself. If your dad is getting older he will find it harder getting up from a console type boat to get up to the front deck. I think the flat bottom type floor will suit him better. Just my 2 cents.

Problem has since been fixed. his statement about getting a new SHO and “just bolt one on fire it up and go rippin” is bull. Plowing water for the first hour under 2500rom ain’t rippin. How well would his advice work on warranty claim?

If I were buying new tomorrow, I would be looking @ Caymus, BassCat and Pheonix. Now if money was not in the picture, I would look further, and consider Gambler, Ballistic and Vexus.

Aluminum Ranger RT series. I have had one for 3 years...it has 105 hours & love it...I will turn 70 this year...not sure how old your dad is but its is easy to handle...load & unload & very stable on the water...even in strong winds. AND...It catches just as many fish as the big expensive ones...
