 Got slimed by a 31.55 lbs blue kitty this morning!

Only had a few hours to fish this morning. I looked at a couple shallow spots, didn't find much. Went back to general area I fished last week, but a little deeper (thank you Mr. Kennedy). Found bait and fish 28 to 35 feet. Got bait and started. Couple big shad cut baits, rod w chicken and one with small shad. Half hour in had a good hit on small shad rod I was holding. Fight was on. Was by myself, so pics were not the best. Weighed 31.55 on my scale. CPR, to fight another day! Finally, a good fish. Now looking to break 40! Thanks everyone here that has helped me get to this point with the blue cats. Still a rookie, but a cherry busted, deep hooked rookie now! And I need a bigger net! Stay safe everyone. What's wrong with the bottom of that net? The too small of a landing net, or the cast net. I found a taped net for sale, and bought one. Definitely goes to deeper water better... fresh bait! Someone who has been doing this for a while told me I needed fresh bait! Works better! take care, talk soon Ken
