Pocket knife.... sharp one. Stays on me and easily accessible. Cuts super clean.

Ive found that any scissors you want to last on braid need to just be used for braid. Once Im using them a while on Tatsu they are too dull for braid especially braid not pulled tight to cut it.

Probably my problem as well. I think I am dulling my scissors cutting the knot off hook eyes. I need a dedicated pair just for braid.

My old fat beat up fingers aren't that good at keeping the tag tight while trying to cut it close to the knot. I sure as heck can't hold the line with my teeth and cut close with a knife, I just ain't that talented.

I use the scissors on my Leatherman for braid and it works great. The downside is I have a heavy Leatherman in my life jacket all the time. I’ll be looking for the boomerang cutter and give it a shot.

thanks everyone. I just ordered the Gerber Salt water version from TW , I fish salt a couple times a year so I splurged. Gotta make myself NOT use them to cut line off a hook eye. bang

I also use the cheap blue handle Walmart scissors. I also keep a pair of close cut side cutters in the boat, like you would use to cut soft wire. They work great too!

Cuda is what I use as well - you can find them at Academy. I use the larger 8" ones - have worked great over the last year.
