I haven’t fished either, but I am pretty much right in the middle here in New Braunfels. I was thinking of taking the yak out to one of them tomorrow. Which should I try?

If you're in a yak, I would choose Bastrop.

Bastrop has good fishing just past the ramp on the right side and the cove going to the plant.
