Im new to trolling motor world. I have a 80# trust motor guide hand control motor on the bow. Are there conversion kits out there to make it foot control? It does the job fine, but I would like it to be foot control.

I think you would be much happier buying a used minn kota foot controlled trolling motor from the classifieds. There are a bunch of cheap trolling motors available because people are moving to the ultrex.

I think you would be much happier buying a used minn kota foot controlled trolling motor from the classifieds. There are a bunch of cheap trolling motors available because people are moving to the ultrex. this ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ if you are decent at wiring you can use the motor/shaft as a replacement for a foot control, major pain to do tho.

An upper shaft, bearings, head, complete pedal assembly, digital modular. I'm sure I'm missing a few things but you could buy a used tm for cheaper.

Wal-Mart has a foot control that is very easy to install ( turns TM off and on) but doesn't change direction---probably not what you are wanting
