Looking to take the boat out to Whitney for the first time, any pointers or spots to try would be greatly appreciated.

Look for birds early around the orange spots on map. Whitney is a tough lake to learn, has been for me anyways. After it warms up maybe look in some creeks. I had good luck in Cedar Creek not too long ago.

Anywhere from near Katy bridge up, fish are relating to the main river channel. Also look around the entire length of Bear Creek channel. The big bend in the river just above the Katy bridge will be holding sand bass and stripers this time of year. The birds are real active all over the lake. Good luck
