That is a lot of bubble gum. My brother and I each had shoe boxes full of baseball cards. Whitey Ford, Sandy Koulfax, Roger Marris, Peppitone, Willy Mays, etc. We used to "flip" them at recess heads or tails to win or lose them. When we moved from the old farmhouse my Mom threw them all out into the burn bin. We had outgrown them she said. They would be worth a fortune today! hahahaha Such is life.

I have a Mickey Mantle autographed ball he signed for my Mom and a pic of him giving my Mom a peck on the cheek. There is not telling how many valuable cards I gave away or lost.

I would unload all old memorabilia while the price is good, value will go down with the new culture
call it what you will...he is not definitely not anywhere near the top of the list for QB's that I would choose needing a FG or touchdown drive late in the game.

I have had a card collection for years. The most expensive card I have is a $1500.00 Mantel Card. I have a lot others in Baseball, football, and basketball that are worth between $100.00 to $500.00. I also have some sets that are valued at two to three thousand dollars. Loved collecting them but stopped years ago. Something I can leave my two sons.

I have a few baseballs signed by former HOUSTON ASTRO'S pitcher Brandon Backe from Galveston. Maybe they will be worth something one day.

I had that card they sold for 5.2 million. In fact I had two of them and lots of other very collectable cards. My Mom gave my entire collection away when I was in college to her/our part time maid. I guess she had a 10 year old son that was just getting into card collection. I was heartbroken but what could I do.

I had thousands of cards when I was a kid back in the early 50s. Kept them in old shoe boxes, and they were never in those protective plastic sleeves. Cards were clothes-pinned to bikes to make a clattering noise; they were flipped in games; they were sold and traded among friends. I don't know if I had that card for sure, but the odds are pretty good that I did, but it would not have been in perfect condition. After I left home at 18, my mom threw them all away the next time they moved.
Ratz and I started collecting them when he was a kid, and I assume he still has all/most of them. Some were valuable enough that I had them in a bank safe-deposit box.
Family is everything! Life is precious. We don’t have forever. We have now. This moment. We can choose to love our lives now.

What’s sad is most the cards I had as a kid are worthless now after eBay came out and they found out how unrare some cards really were
