You’re stepping all over CCTX’s TFF OT Advice Column, but it is good advice. Is he calling for family time, loving you're fellow man, walks, and above all picking up trash? I definitely support this platform. I encourage stepping and a series of stepping outside in nature, especially if you are picking up pieces of non biodegradables along the way. I support this platform. Seems reasonable. A little more namaste and a little less cynicism.

for the youngs on here, under 50 crowd.
did y'all grow up practicing for nuclear war? we did. did you have neighbors that built bunkers in their back yard because of the communist threat? we did. have you ever actually thought that nuclear war could come to this country? we did, cuban missile crisis. do you realize that once socialism/communism is in place it is almost impossible to get rid of? we do. this is how we got here, no one took china serious, russia is a threat but no where near what china is and has been for about ever. no conspiracy theory when I say they would love to take over the world and to do that we have to be gone or under their thumb. I suggest you pay attention and observe just what history can prove against what we are now living, repetition is not a good thing this time. jmo Anyone else wake up in a thunderstorm as a kid thinking nuclear bombs hitting? The elementary school videos on nuclear war, duck and cover, etc? I'm in agreement with hop and Sheldon . . . . . God Save the U.S.A. !

Great advice Zeek!
I haven't had a full day of fishing to myself in at least a couple years, but I'm going to try to head out for a day next week. Looking forward to it.

It's not the end of the world, no cause for panic. I beg to differ? Thousands trying to kill police as they chant USA! Handcuffs, pipe bombs? ISSIS America style. Panic not yet. BUT???? Get real man. How many dies the last 3 years in antics and BLM riots. How many people lost everything to thugs backed by liberals even bailed out of jail by our new VP! No matter how bad anyone thinks the protest in DC were last week they pale in comparison to what the liberals and Democrats backed and openly supported for the past 4 years. To say anything different even if you are a liberal just makes you a liar on top of it all.

Agree... and to prove the point: what would you rather do? wear a biden hat through a Trump protest or wear a MAGA hat through an Antifa/Blm demonstration? That's what I thought.

To my surprise, I've been contacted by a few folks who are feeling overwhelmed about the election results and recent events. Here's what I told them, and I'm telling everyone here too: "Stay involved in your local party and your local candidates. Communicate your concerns to your elected State & Federal representatives regularly - they need to hear from as many of us as possible. But yeah, getting wrapped up too much in social media political arguments is unhealthy for the soul, spirit, heart, and mind."
And one other thing. Go fishing. Take your kids, grandkids, nieces/nephews, or your friends kids fishing. Fishing is good for the soul.

This is exactly what the liberals want us to do. Go fishing and not worry about anything, quit looking our way, there's nothing to see here.

Stay involved, but make your involvement meaningful. One can waste the entire weekend arguing with the leftist trolls on FB & Twitter and accomplish nothing, whereas telling your reps - especially your local and state officials - exactly where you stand can give them the direction they need.

Remember, Republicans control the majority of state legislatures. They get to redraw the new House districts based on the official 2020 census. If Texas gains the predicted 5 seats, rest assured the majority of them will benefit Republican candidates.

It's not the end of the world, no cause for panic. Not true at least my world. I have worked 35 years to retire in Dec. 2021 if taxes are 15 or 20% higher on my income, if capital gains are raised to Biden’s proposed 40% and if healthcare increases I doubt my retirement will last. Everyone of those mother ffrs in Washington are guaranteed a great retirement, healthcare and huge tax breaks. I and millions of others feel pretty helpless and distraught over all of this. So yes it could be the end of my happiness. And I’ll assure you I’m not alone. I also believe all of the things I mentioned above will come to pass. Absolutely 100% correct. I was going in 2020 but that was before the idiots took over. Me Three. Not so sure now. Maybe Wal Mart greeter is my next chapter career. Where did all the old school Texans and other country folk go?
