To my surprise, I've been contacted by a few folks who are feeling overwhelmed about the election results and recent events. Here's what I told them, and I'm telling everyone here too: "Stay involved in your local party and your local candidates. Communicate your concerns to your elected State & Federal representatives regularly - they need to hear from as many of us as possible. But yeah, getting wrapped up too much in social media political arguments is unhealthy for the soul, spirit, heart, and mind."

And one other thing. Go fishing. Take your kids, grandkids, nieces/nephews, or your friends kids fishing. Fishing is good for the soul.

Absolutely good advice. I'm going to try and pass it on to those I work with who have in my opinion gone off the deep end. End of the world stuff, the beast is here, rapture folks, etc. and it makes it tough to have a positive attitude. And they just don't seem to see that there is a positive. We will live thru this and the world won't end.

The aliens might land but that's a whole different can of worms...:)
