That is quite a set up. Very impressive. Those that have live scope, have y'all found the position of the said scope more beneficial stationary or portable ? I realize the boat and its features are a factor .

Not sure what you mean. The transducer has to be moveable (Rotate) some put it on the trolling motor. I prefer mine on a separate pole mount.

Affixed to boat or in separate box , as what Gary Paris operates.

I went for permanent install.

As far as position on the boat , I have side by side seating just aft of the front deck. The Garmin unit and the tranducer ( mounted on
a Fishing Specialties pole ) are mounted on the front deck , easily seen and reached by the chair on the right,

I can not fish without livescope anymore. If one of my buddies wants to fish out of his boat and doesn’t have it...we end up taking mine. Life before GPS, spotlock, livescope... the dark ages. Lol.

Hey TreeBass
Lt. Dan I like your pole setup. Did you make it yourself or did you purchase it?

Now that I have a fish finder I can see the fish on, I do all the time. I'll sometimes spot lock, but usually just anchor ahead and drift back over the fish. I even found them on Marine Creek, and that's really saying something. I've also caught many drifting Benbrook with spider rigs off the side.
