This is off of the Bois d'Arc website
"Most of the construction on Bois d’Arc Lake is scheduled for completion by the end of 2020, and the reservoir will begin to fill at that time. It could take several years for the lake to fill sufficiently for it to be used safely for recreational purposes. The exact opening is unknown at this time since a number of variables, including the weather, will determine how fast it fills."

They are building a 90” pipeline from the lake to McKinney . It will take a lot of water just to fill the pipeline .

There is a monthly YouTube update that I subscribed to, North Texas municipal water district. Don’t have a lot of info, but does give you an update on the progress. Looks to be a great fishing lake for years to come once it fills

They are about to start working on another one just north of Ladonia. Not too far from Lake B'ois D'arc.
