My boy threw up 3 days ago just once. Now each eye looks like it has a burst blood vessel. Should I worry?

I've had "red eye" from coughing/sneezing , etc. so it might not be a cause for concern . You should get him examined by a professional , however .

Hopefully just allergies, but i would get it checked. Vomiting would be a little concerning

It was a one time thing. He's been great since. He doesn't say they hurt, so I'm not super concerned.

Not in any way a physician...but I've had a client have that happen to one eye after a severe coughing fit a couple of years back. No big deal. But, probably not a bad idea for a consultation with a medical doctor. I'd think this would be one of those things where y'all could do it over the computer and then if they want you to bring him in, y'all could do that.

Kinda my thinking. Just thought it would go away sooner.

Hope he feels better soon!

If he is not feeling well... Maybe check in with his Pediatrician? Lots of them are doing online visits now for issues like this.

I only know of one actual M.D. on here... and I bet he would say, "No need to go to the ER but contact his Pediatrician or your PCP".

Causes
The cause of a subconjunctival hemorrhage isn't always known. The following actions may cause a small blood vessel to rupture in your eye:
Violent coughing
Powerful sneezing
Straining
Vomiting

Some solid advice above, except from Ratz. Rubbing dirt in someone’s eyes could cause corneal abrasions and worse.
Get well soon.
