First kitty of the new year, a little over 25 inches and nearly 7 lbs. Biggest channel cat I've ever caught. Though it's not huge compared to the big blues by any means, very healthy for A Texas channel cat. Definitely hadn't missed a meal. For reference, the cooler is 24 inches long. Caught on a bluegill head piece, in 10 to 12 foot of water, bank fishing the Brazos. Released back, for someone else to enjoy catching. Went out to scout it out, since my boat is out of commission at the moment. Definitely going back, when I get the boat back.
