Thanks El Gato! So for starters the temperature. I figure if the air is colder than the surface temp of the water, the fish will go deep. If the air is warmer, the surface temp will come up and draw the fish shallower. Plus, I did a little scouting and I was marking a good number of fish on the bottom and I figured they were cats so I threw some baits at 'em and they were hungry. Good strong bites too. No nibbles...
