I'm about to throw this entire unit in the lake... I bet it powered off on me 30+ times last night while trying to locate bait. It seems to power off sporadically, but way more noticeable when I give it just a little throttle and for sure it's going to power off when I give it a good amount of throttle (enough to plane out) and get going - it's a for sure bet, it'll power off. Seems to me like it's a battery/power issue, but where should I start looking? I don't think it's loose plug ins on the back of the unit because I took it off last night and held it carefully and it seemed to do the same thing.

If you used the boat's wiring harness for power, eliminate that with a dedicated connection directly to the battery, fused at the battery.

Make sure both sides of the cable collector are locked to the back of the unit.

I had similar issues -- turned out the cable connector was the problem. Make sure it is seated properly and there are no bent pins.

I had an issue where it was connected to the power block on the boat, at times when I would start the motor, the graph would cut off. Mostly it was reading under 12 volts(11.8,10.9,8.6) after a couple hours on the water. I added another battery and connected it directly to the battery and hope that fixes the issue.

I ran a dedicated 10 ga wire straight from the battery with a fuse in it.

Neither of mine has ever shut off. cheers

Have the battery tested and run a dedicated power and negative wire to the batter with an inline fuse. Dan

My unit did that for a few trips and then quit powering up at all. I had the unit replaced a few weeks ago. I was bummed when the unit went out, but I am happy HB and the guys at Fun N Sun were able to fix this. I only mention them because I think if I had a negative experience, I would be here bashing them. So kudos for now.
I rewired the skeeter wiring because it went through the key switch. It already has the wires pre run straight to the battery, not sure why they used the keyed accessory wires.
